Middletown Historical Society’s Winter Lecture Series: Forgotten Heroes of the American Revolution with Janet Uhlar

MIDDLETOWN HISTORICAL SOCIETY

WINTER LECTURE SERIES 2026
SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH , 2026 @ 2PM

Forgotten Heroes of the American Revolution

In collaboration with the Daughters of the American Revolution, Battle of Rhode Island Chapter, we present Author, lecturer, and screenplay writer Janet Uhlar.
Author of: Liberty’s Martyr: The Story of Dr. Joseph Warren, and Freedom’s Cost: The Story of General Nathanael Greene

She presents the living, breathing form of biographical fiction. The characters lived; the events occurred. The dialogue carries the stories. When we uncover the private lives and distinct personalities of historical figures—and the dynamics between them—history stops being cold black print on a stark white page. It becomes a living story shaped by real people whose courage, indifference, and cowardice forged the world we inhabit today.
