Seth Chiaro

BoRIA Director of Military Affairs

Seth Chiaro served in the Rhode Island Army National Guard from 2007 to 2013, then medically retired in 2016. Seth’s primary MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was an 88M Motor Transport Operator. Seth also worked as an 11B Infantryman. Seth worked at the RI Funeral Detachment, rendering military honors for deceased veterans and their loved ones. Seth has been involved in historical nonprofits since 2015 and has been a member of the Battle of Rhode Island Association and Butts Hill Fort Restoration Committee since 2021. Seth is also a member of the 54th Regiment of Foot that reenacts the American Revolutionary War. The unit participated in the occupation of Newport and fought in the Battle of Rhode Island in 1778. Seth is set to graduate in the Fall with a BA in Organizational Leadership and Change at College Unbound. Seth plans to pursue a Master’s Degree to teach history at College Unbound.
