Paul R. Murphy

A Boston native, and graduate of Northeastern University, Paul served in the U.S. Air Force for thirty-three years of active duty. A senior pilot with over 3,500 flying hours, he commanded the 305 Air Mobility Wing at McGuire AFB New Jersey, and was Vice Wing Commander of the 380 Air Expeditionary Wing, at Al Dhafra AB, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He also served at Headquarters USAF/Pentagon as Chief of Global Mobility and Special Operations plans and programs, Headquarters US Strategic Command J3/4, and at Headquarters Air Mobility Command at the Directorate level. Holder of four master’s degrees, he was the George C. Kenney Chair of Air & Space power at the U.S. Naval War College, Newport RI from 2014-2021. He is now a private citizen and resident of Portsmouth RI.
