Joe Studlick
BoRIA Director at Large
Joe was born in a small coal-mining town in Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. in Earth Sciences at Millersville University (Pa.) and M.S. in Geology at the Ohio State University. He spent 10 years in New Orleans and 30 in Houston in upstream oil and gas at Shell Oil, Maersk, Unocal, Burlington Resources, Baker Atlas, and for the last 12 years with his own consulting firm.
A recent resident of RI (daughter went to Brown), he is a founding Director of the Battle of Rhode Island Association and the Co-Chair of the Butts Hill Fort Restoration Committee. Other volunteer work is as a Master Gardener mentor and the Alumni Board of the School of Earth Sciences at OSU. Semi-retired still seems too busy and traveling (finally) is back to normal.
